The Cutting Edge 5K Trail Run was held today on the trails along the scenic Broad Run stream in Bristow, VA. The day started out nice and brisk at 27 degrees F. As the sun broke thru the trees and warmed the trails, the runners toed the start line for the inaugural run! The runners sped off and into the tree line within seconds and the stage was set for a great event. Many local vendors were present from the local community to greet the runners with food and refreshments at the finishing, to include Chik-Fil-A and Unos, to name a few.
The women's overall winner was Alexa McAnally, 11, in a time of 21:58.
The men's overall winner was Brian Horlick, 16, in a time of 16:45.
